Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I am impressed by the sharpness of detail and texture and the realism of color and light. Even the antennas and legs of the butterfly are crisp. The butterfly is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Nice nature composition.
I too thought it was a Monarch. This close up allows the viewer to see the wonderful details of Viceroy.
The patterns and colors are exciting. And, the background enhances the photo.
Good focus, clarity and placement. Nice Exposure.

A beautiful subject that is very sharp. I like the detail in the antennae and the edge to edge sharpness of the wings. Beautiful colors but I might consider cropping that leaf from the bottom. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you! Hadn?t thought about removing the leaf,but per your suggestion,I have,and it looks better,so thank you for your suggestion. Sometimes it helps having a fresh pair of eyes!
