A very good macro photo and the complementary colors worked well for the purple and yellow contest. Exposure and focus are done very well too.

This is an intriguing close-up. The insect looks like a giant plane in a maze of dry purple trees. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of light and color and the refinement of detail. The light reflections on the wings and the pollen sticking the bee and the purple plant are especial interesting. The square format framing is sufficient. The insect is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
