These are certainly beautiful alaskapat. You are blessed to have them at your dinner table. You hardly did anything but minor cropping and it turned out so clear without any blemishes. You are right the deep color of red stands out. You are a natural photographer.

Stunning presentation.. that red is mesmerising.. really attracts the eye and works so well against the darker background. Request permission to retain the image in my "to paint' folder..I have some gorgeous reds to use in my range of oil paints.

Beautiful Pat! I just love nature's little surprises. This is a really nice portrait of the tulips. I know you shot this indoors, but I am torn about the solid, dark background. I like the drama it gives the composition, but wonder if a lighter color would have made the red really pop. I really like the way you shot them up close and personal, using the foreground completely to give a sense of drama. They are sharp in focus and well framed. This is really a beautiful composition.

This is very eye catching. The colors, textures and the reflections of light give these tulips a wonderfully velvet like appearance, The contrasting green leaves are perfect to help emphasize the flowers. The black background is perfect for this image.

Thanks so much Steve! The tulips last such a short time but I love every single minute from the time I put the bulbs in the water bowl to the day I am cutting the leaves and stems down .
