Very pretty landscape you have captured here. The rays of the sun are very pleasing, and the warm creamy color captured is very calming. The foreground is a little dark, and takes away from the beauty of the sunset. If it were my photo I would have cropped some of the foreground out. However this is just a personal preference. over all very well done.

Nicely taken and seen sunset and the overall view is really good,funny how we see on hear more sunsets than sun rises maybe we don,t always like getting up to early,still it was worth the effort to capture this as the sun was setting...Brian

What a beautiful scene you have captured here Pat. The overall pastel look is soothing to the eye yet hides the fact that it is very cold as the ice provides the perfect reflective surface.
The sun is in perfect position on the horizon to cast that warm glow over the scene.

Nice sunset. I like the cool colors of the ice and the trees against the warm tones of the sunset! Great composition I think the grassy spots in the marsh leads your eye into the picture.

I can only imagine this scene. In Europe kids go ice skating, and tobogganing etc on the ice. /Not in England/ Is it too dangerous in Alaska to do that?

Thank you so much! Oh yes, we ice skate, ski, ride snow machines , hike in the deep snow wearing snow shoes, and go sledding here!
