Hey there Brenda!
I enjoy your painting of the majestic Kimberly falls. I actually just watched Andrews youtube video of his painting in this, I can see why you were inspired haha. The colors and tonal values are nice Brenda. The textures are great and provide a nice sense of detail. Great work and keep it up!

Thank you. I really enjoyed doing this. I tried to veer away from a direct copy from references and never could reach details that Andrew achieves.. but needed a break from sketching, a bit of colour lol. I enjoyed your comments.

Great colors in this painting. I have not seen anything like it. Waterfall is a good example of movement and looking at this you can almost hear the water splashing.

Thank you for reviewing much appreciated. The recommendations in the star awarding indicate a 4 needs work. Can you advise me what to do to make it better or what is not working.

Such a impressive painting of these waterfalls that are most likely tourist attraction, I wish I could see them too. Thank you for sharing your beautiful painting.
Great technique that works so nicely for the water flowing and splashing. The framing with Sandstone cliffs is nice with beautiful brushwork and details.

Thank you so much for your review. I am inspired by your remarks i found this a challenge but persevered. They are indeed a big tourist attraction. I understand they are not readily accessible you need a helicopter or boat trip. They are on my bucket list. .

This deserves a 6 -- you are doing such wonderfully fine work these days! The colors are dynamic and the scene so alive -- you are a truly fine artist. I usually review photography, but am always so delighted when your work shows up! My admiration. How are you!?

Thank you so much for your comments and for your wonderful supportive review. This one was a challenge i have been trying to improve my observations by doing sketches daily. This has moved my direction on a lot. Your St Martin was a turning point. I am now seeing a change but I wanted to keep my original style available and this was based on my early art but I believe my regimented sketching daily has somewhat shown through. Ps I am fine. Still in lockdown but 4th April we are being let loose a little bit. 😁 hoping you are good also.

Very interesting picture here. You did very good on the coloring of the rocks and I like how you showed the texture of water especially towards the bottom of the falls. Quite delightful!

Your painting makes me wish I could visit these magical falls and photograph them. I would spend time just taking in the wonderful sound of the rushing water!
You have rendered these falls so very well, it is intriguing to study the cliffs that they are flowing over, it appears to be layers and layers that make up the cliffs, I can see the time and thought you have applied to create them with such a realistic look, I appreciate their structure and the colors as well as the way they appear to be wet , they shine!
The water is beautiful, the light tones show the rapid motion .
This is a well arranged scene and a great entry for this contest! Very best wishes to you!

Thank you Pat for reviewing. I think you photography skill would be a great direction for this scene by you. Look them up on the internet and also Andrew Tischler on You Tube. Total inspirational person. Sometimes when I do landscapes I think of your work and how you construct a view. Photography as references are a super tool for us artists. What you photographers post helps us to construct too. What your rules are often work for paints especially if trying to achieve a certain realism. Thank you again.

Ps the cliffs in reality are what appears are very distinctive layers it was quite a challenge to get that effect. Your review indicated that my attempt to portray layers worked. 😀

Yes, it worked perfectly ! I can see the layers were distinctly
