Beautiful birds whether startled or just taking to flight. The mixed media has taken some of the immediacies from the picture. Direct light on water creates glare - you need the direct light to fall on your subject which is then reflected in water which is in the shade.

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of the geese taking off. Like the wing displays. The colours and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely taken!

This is completely awesome Jirina! I love Canada geese and I love the effects of your use of mixed media to give this the look of a well executed painting! Impressive stop action on the two geese taking flight , I like also the placement of the two taking off and the two in background that appear to be just looking things over. This is beautifully composed and presented! I would print this and hang it on the wall!

Nice capture. The haze on the borders helps the POV! The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of the shot of these geese taking off from the water is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

I cannot blame them. I dislike cold climate and would move to warmer regions also.
Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The reflections are interesting. The vignette emphasizes the birds profoundly. The birds are perfect placed within the frame. The mixed media is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
