the water rings around her /him are fantastic. Really clear. The birds will be coming up to sample your lighter nights now. I did not really understand it, /your hear it but it doesn't sink in/ till I went to St Petersburg to see my then fiance, a Russian English language teacher/he passed away before we could sort out the political tangle for him to get married, he was totally rule bound./ and I found it was light till early in the morning. Huh, no it is not jet lag, it is like that!

Thank you so much! Yes indeed, we will not have a completely dark sky now until late August! I love it!

This is a beautiful bird. The markings of her plumage and especially the red of her beak are impressive. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The distorted reflection in the water is interesting. The bird is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

What an odd duck. Lol. I like the reflection in the water and his puffy head. Interesting color on his beak. A good shot of this bird enjoying a dip in the pond

I love visiting Alaska and it's wildlife through your work! The colors of this little duck are beautiful on his back. The clarity of your focus helps us understand how he was given his name. Goldeneye. I've enjoyed viewing this. Thanks!

I haven't seen one of these before. Your capture gives me a good view of her and her lovely plumage and that yellow eye. I love the background of water with movement and refklections.

Pat,
A great picture of this little Barrows Goldeneye Duck maybe less colourful than her drake but still very beautiful, her reflection on the ripples is an added bonus. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A beautiful duck that reminds me a little of the buffleheads with that gleaming eye. A fine composition with great detail in the plumage and beautiful colors.
