I saw your last post with the golden eye as well as this one. You obviously know your flora and fauna. I never knew that such a thing as a hover fly even existed. To me it was just some kind of bee. I love the picture. We'll have to see about getting some of these flowers as well. Nice job.

I appreciate the sharpness of the petals and the realism of color and light. I like that you filled almost the entire photo with the flower. The close up is well composed and framed. Nothing needs improvement with this lovely photograph of the hoverfly on the straw paper. I like the off center composition. The focus is perfectly clear catching the beautiful details of the petals. The capture of light accents the natural richness of the pink. Excellent photo!

The fly is liking this smell after coming animal dung. Helps the fly to relax..wink. lol. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot on this colorful flower is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Yes straw flowers are so colorful and last forever. This is a beautiful capture of straw flower with tiny insect in full focus. I love the the filling frame capture with close up. The color and details are nicely captured and appear very natural. Great shot.

Perfection. The colours and clarity and I think very important for me and many is the appeal and artistic presentation. This has it all. I can see why you like the paper flowers. The hoverfly too is so clear I wonder what you use to get such an almost macro result. I left my NikonD200 in Germany unfortunately and rely on my Smarphone at present. I ordered various clip on lenses for it including a macro one but am disappointed in its performance. Perhaps it's me and my misunderstanding of how these things work. This photograph and many others you do all have that sharpness which I seem to miss. .
