Hi Susan, How lucky you are to have discovered this vixen with her cubs. I don't know about just a paw in the top picture I swear I can see a cub nursing. You must have been thrilled to get these pictures. I know I'll be looking forward to seeing more in the future if you're lucky enough to capture more. Very nice capture! :o) Nancy

Nancy,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on these pictures of this vixen & cubs. you are right there is a cub nursing from the vixen. When I first looked at the picture I did not notice it, but the day afterwards I did.

Dear Susan,
Your photos of Millie bring such a sense of calm, and peace to the soul. The loveliness of the forest, with the beauty of a mother's love is so spiritual.

Apparently, she is a good mom. She has her cubs close to her body where they are warm, comfortable and close to their food source. Your photos have good depth, are excellent focused and exposed and treated with mixed media. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The photos are well arranged on the background. The composition is balanced.

This is a good collection of shots. Love the rich color of the Red Fox and the lush greenery. And, the peeking out of the cubs.
Good photojournalism with the heavy leaves shadowing the Cubs. Enjoyable to view. And, interesting write up. I think if there was too much manipulation it may take from the photo. Just a thought. Good focus, clarity and tone.
Pleasing to view.

It's so exciting to know that Millie has her cubs, I can see them best in the first image, I am sure you will have the opportunity to see them as they grow.
It's a well arranged collage, with a carefully chosen background color that works very well to show these images, the first one shows mom and babies, it's such a wonderful sight to see! Thank you for sharing these! I look forward to more photos of this family!

Pat,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on Millie & her new cubs. There were about six other photographers & passing foot traffic along the path as I took these shots. I did not linger too long to avoid the close contact & to allow others to get pictures too.
Poor Braveheart looks dreadful with most of his fur along his flanks missing due to another attack of Mange. He is getting treatment but's it's taking a while to work. He is about 500 yards away from Millie, Larry & their cubs..
