Have seen documentries on murals in belfast and would have done a tour around them when i was due to go on a cruise to belfast last year but got cancelled.
this i think would have been better without the fence as it takes away the impact from the mural....Brian

Very many thanks, but trying to avoid it made the composition worse.

Nik,
A colourful & interesting picture of one of Belfast's Famous Murals (It looks as if this on Nationalist NOT a Unionist Wall? NO King Billy on his Horse) Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

what an amazing piece of art. I love 'graphity' - and artists abound everywhere. In Sheffield we had the most fantastic art in one area and the council scrubbed it off and covered it with blue paint. I used to love walking past. Some of my friends in my old life in Scunthorpe as Mrs Kenny /ex family Southern Ireland/ were from Belfast. I love their accent and their ways. I quite miss the closeness of my Irish friends in Sheffield, they see friendship in the same light as we do. What I also love about them is that if you marry Irish you are accepted into the Irish community happily. I miss that here. In London, there was a lady married to a black guy, but the kids and hubby were part of the Irish community too. Belfast West was the only constituency in Northern Ireland to elect an MP supporting the Sunningdale Agreement. Fitt's majority was a narrow 2180 votes in February 1974 primarily due to the candidature of Albert Price, father of the Price sisters who were in prison in England for PIRA related offences. I am sorry, I should not say it, but a country should not be divided and in time it will unite, and not under the english. I say this even though my ex's family to their great sadness were in the Black and Tans, no work - when he came back he was drummed out of the village and went to Dublin, married a barmaid and came to the Isle of Axholme to pick potatoes and opened a pub and most of the rest of the family are in Chicago too- as are many of mine.

Nicely composed image of the murals in Belfast. We did a bus tour when there and saw several that were done during the troubles. Colors are very good and your overall focus is good.

I like that the photo you took tells a story and also how you captured the building from sort of a side angle..it gives off that 2 point perspective look..very cool..very well detailed and fun to look at..my hats off to you

This is an amazing mural. Thank you for sharing. Oh, the battles that have raged on this soil. So violent for so many years. I love Ireland, may peace reign.

An interesting local street art mural. I cant make out messages but find it very colourful and very well captured. The colours appear natural and in excellent depth which makes a strong impact. . I like the angle you chose and your presentation.

This is a nice capture of the brightly painted walls of this building! I like that your photo shows both sides of the mural and the colors are natural, providing a great splash of color. Great focus, well composed and presented!

I wish I could read more of them... to see the emotions of those across the pond from the US.

the graphics are done very well and would give our Graffiti artists something to strive for with realism.
