You must have seen this bird in flight beneath you, and I really like your vantage point. The stop action is perfect, and the light is falling so lovely on the bird. The white glare in the background water is a bit distracting, but the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is fine.
The cropping is well done, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the right. A lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with a very good DOF.

This Heron in flight is a rare moment where your able to capture it forever..awsome job..I like the reflection of the trees in the water total surrounding the heron..normally when an object is moving it tends to come out blurry in a photo but your skill wouldn't and didn't let that happen..it's truly an amazing piece and I'm honored to see this
