I used to visit Castleton in the mid 80s when I used to go Hang gliding and used to drop in to the pub there which I am unable to recall the name of .but what a beautiful quaint village and you have portrayed its beauty in your presentation

Proof it were needed that you don't need bright sunshine to show off the beauty of this Derbyshire village of Castleton near the magical Blue John Cavern. The soft light under the overcast sky showing off the stone built row of shops to best advantage. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I am very grateful for your nice review and that big 6! A croft is a small rented house with a bit of land with it. Probably over time the farming aspect declined and the house was converted into a shop.

This looks like a cozy little village, and I especially like your vantage point creating such fine leading lines. You have also brought out so well the fine textures of the old walls.
The photo is very sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in all the buildings. The exposure is perfect.
The format and tight framing is working well, and it is indeed a fine balance in the composition. This is a great looking and well taken photo Nikman, and with an excellent DOF.

This is a very nice image of the shops in England. Great vantage point showing great depth and dimension. I would love to walk the streets and enjoy shopping in all the quaint shops. Great focus and interest.
