Such a cool photo! I love this. The color of the sky is so unique and you caught him in a perfect position with wings up and out! The fading sun is a bonus. It almost looks like a painting. Lovely capture!!!!

Wow Pat, this is a magical nature image of this Arctic Tern hovering against a very pretty coloured sunset. The placement of the sun is great and the reflected light on the Arctic Tern is so beautiful. It has a translucent effect on the wings and tale. A delightful image to view!

Pat,
A Cyber Six for this beautiful & magical Arctic Tern hovering above Potter Marsh with the light of the setting sun glowing through the mist & it's wing tip flight feathers, tail. red beak & feet. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Wish I could give you more than a 6,Pat,as this truly deserves more! An incredible photo,it resembles a beautiful watercolor with it's pastel coloration.love how the wings and tail feathers are illuminated by the soft light;the sun is perfectly positioned. Just areal stunner!

This is a gorgeous photo that looks more like a painting than a picture. The blurred background and soft focus around the bird is well done. He is exquisitely focused and his colors are natural to the background. Catching the setting sun between his wings makes this a stunning presentation. Wonderful photo!

A very good looking nature shot posted here! Looks amazingly bright for 10.30pm! Here in the UK the sky is completely black at that time. Like the wing display and colours plus tones. Nicely done!

This low light photo is outstanding. How the sun is caught between the wings of the bird and shines through the feathers of the wings is stunning. The colors of the bird stand perfectly out from the hazy pink and yellow of the sky. The photo is excellently focused and exposed and has good depth. The bird is expertly placed, right of center of the frame with enough space in front to fly into. The photo is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced

Mesmerizing... the soft tones and diffused lighting combine to produce a surreal visual effect. The lack of any other detail in the background also contributes to the mystery. Where is he going? Did something spook him? Is he just out for a pleasure cruise? Is he looking for a mate? These and a dozen more questions are left unanswered keeping the viewer in suspense.
