The Trillium is beautiful. Your photo is well focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the realism of color and the refinement of textures, but in my opinion the background is too dark. I believe that a neutral background, perhaps in shades of green would emphasize the flower even more.

A beautiful spring flower with superb detail in the white petals. Occasionally I see red ones around here but almost all of them are this pure white. Great composition and beautiful colors. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks very much; I haven?t come across any red ones in a long time,eons ago I found a nice patch of them when I was still living at home.

Details so sharp I think I can actually smell a sweet flowery fragrance seeping from the screen :) Your technical skill in capturing and the post editing are truly amazing. I would have thought this was staged in a pot in a blacked out photo booth. I can't stop staring at and studying this image.
