I took a pick at your profile, I know this is an old post, but it definitely deserves six stars not five, reminds me of Monet and early impressionists, it takes some talent, great job!

You have a good eye. This is my favorite painting of all time. It was for a friend from high school who posted a photo of her granddaughter on FB. I started painting when I retired, so I'm still learning. My goal is to paint a series of children and flowers. The one that I haven't tackled yet is a young boy holding a cornflower because he wanted a monarch butterfly to come back and land on it. (By the way, he waited patiently for over an hour to no avail). It was very nice meeting you and thank you for your kind remarks!

I hope you get your series accomplished, it's a good idea, I have a similar drawing of my friends daughter holding a flower:)) It takes some patience waiting for an hour especially from a boy:)

Thank you so much . . . believe it or not, it was the "chiffon" over the dress that took a while to get just right. Yes, I hope to do more paintings - a series of "a child & flower." I have a great boy one who is holding a flower waiting for a butterfly to land.
