I bought a whole load of various pastels, but the whole load were stolen, though I have barely managed to use them, along with all new artists materials. All my life I have managed with cheap kiddy paints from the markets- at long last I treated myself...to have it all robbed.

The expression is complex- Is she is seriously concentrating on her dancing or is she somewhat annoyed by the interruption? I think it might be the latter. Either way, the image pulls in the viewer and holds them. Very compelling with good story telling capacity.

I am impressed by your attention to detail. The performing ballerina reminds me of Odile In Swan Lake. The spot light is excellent painted. The light emphasizes the ballerina remarkably.
