Wonderful photograph of this black tailed skimmer so nicely presented with great details and colors. The delicate texture of the open wings and composition are very nice.
Thank you for sharing.

What a great photo of this skimmer, the focus is very sharp, bringing out the veining in those transparent wings, and I can see the little hairs behind those compound eyes. The non distracting background is perfect. The bent tail is indeed interesting, can't say that I have ever encountered one with a like tail. A very beautiful photo!

Clever name for this peculiar image. The subdued lighting is perfect for the subject. Nice details where it really counts on a dragonfly- across the wings. Great job!

I enjoy your sense of humor as you title your work! His tail certainly looks short. Is he hoping the stick will camouflage his situation? (; Great focus, sharp and clear. Thanks for sharing.

An interesting shot. I have seen them hold their tails straight up in the air, but this downturned tail is a new one for me. Great details and beautiful colors. I like the way he is isolated against that smooth background.

Fred,
A beautiful &interesting picture of the male Black tailed Skimmer with a kink in the tip of his abdomen, as he clings to a dead stalk. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Just bent for balance? A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that insect and its location. Like the look of all those delicate wings. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well taken!

Fabulous capture! Yes, the tilted tail is adding to cuteness. I found the light blue colour of insect body so alluring. All in all, a great click. Keep doing such excellent captures so that we profit from savouring these bounties of Nature.
