I am struck by the darkish atmosphere of this artwork. Something eerie and compelling about it. I at first thought it was a painting! Amazing use of Prismacolors!

I always like to watch our animals when they see their own reflections in the mirror. The eyes are extremely well done. Fur is horridly difficult and takes much patience, although I have known enough animals with smooth flat fur. Interesting expression.

This is an excellent piece.Great idea executed well. But tell me something. I understand that he is in a mirror. You have to convey that. But why are there "drips" down the cats face? That takes away from the image.

It was my first ever full size cat or animal done completely in colored pencils. I suppose I did it that way and smudged to show he was looking into a mirror and not impressed with himself. It was a gift for a "sweet 16" who, he and his parents loved cats.

Art, as you know, is subjective. I may not like it, others will. I would be honored if this piece was a present.

Thanks. Just trying to draw from imagination. I started out by submitting a simple photograph of the posing deer that we took through our second-level window. Then, my first full-bodied adult cat.

I guess the cat believes that he is looking at another individual of its own species. Your drawing is well composed and rendered. I appreciate your attention to realistic detail and color. The eyes of the reflection are especially intriguing. Proportion and perspective are correct. The tall format is adequate. The cat and the reflection are well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
