Well I can see I am really behind -- my sincere apologies! I love these guys! A particular flock of them used to fly into a very full tree outside my hut in Guatemala, but there were always some stragglers who couldn't seem to find a perch and they would grab onto each others tails and feet until the bunch above moved over to let them up, lol... Thanks for sharing, are these your birds?

Wow! Thank you Nancy. I am so glad you liked this photo. I saw this bird yawning and I just had to capture it. Poor thing was so sleepy it could hardly stay awake. Just goes to show how all creatures are similar when it is time for sleep. Thank you so much for the extra sparkle Nancy ~ Steve

These birds look so pretty with their green and yellow feathers, and the one in the foreground indeed looks sleepy and ready for a nap. They are both standing out well from the background.
The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the feathers, and the exposure is perfect.
The cropping is working well, and the birds are well placed within the frame. A sweet and well taken photo Steve, and with a good DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.
