This close up is extraordinary. Your photo is perfect focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and textures and the realism of light and color. The shallow background emphasizes the Monarch and the thistle remarkably. It is impressive how the butterfly clings to the thistle flower. The mixed media is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

A beautiful picture of the Monarch butterfly sucking nectar from the Scot's Thistle. It's beautifully patterned wings & the Thistle both standing out in sharp contrast to the grey green background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
