interesting this rock formation. Once this happened to me that someone had painted some rocks outside my work building. i think their is an organization of people who do this. i think it's to make the finder happy. anyway nice colors it pops against the gray rocks

yes, well they did not object to having their photo taken, and they did not move lol,, boring? It surprised me to find this and to know someone actually went out of their way to paint and place these rocks on the side of a busy hwy, probably to make some body like little old me notice

Interesting shot. Unique!Good observation. This demonstrates how one can find beauty even in some small things lying by the roadside.Well done!

Nice shot here. Like the balance in your composition, the red nicely offsets the others. Your back ground is stimulating but not distracting. Your focus is great, same with your exposure. Well done. Best of luck in the contest

Your close up is intriguing. The colors draw the eyes and the attention of the viewers. The mystery why those rocks were painted and left on the cliff makes the viewer think about them. Perhaps the are trail markers. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of light and color and the refinement of detail. The close up is well composed and framed. The painted rocks are well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Not an everyday occurrence to come upon painted rocks! I bet it was a throw-back moment for when your daughters were younger. Good luck in the competition!

That's really Cool,Lise!
They used to make us paint a lot of rocks that lined the walkways around barracks buildings and such when Basic Combat Training was over with and we were waiting to be shipped out to Advanced Individual Training when I was in the Army.
THAT was mostly to keep us out of trouble but I have a feeling that whoever painted these did it for the sheer enjoyment of it!
I know that I'm certainly enjoying the looks of your photograph,my friend! It makes for a really 'Good Show'!

thank you, actually they were telling people not to put painted rocks in the wild because it is harmful to the environment, but some one did not listen
