Hi LeaAnn, I can see why you were in the top three of the Action Contest! Congratulations!!!! :o) This is a great shot! I love the intensity of he splash the heron caused going after that carp! Too bad he missed! The focus is fantastic! The splash is exceptionally sharp! Your timing was exceptional to! You really nailed the strike of the heron. Wish I had a six left. the bird thought you were paparazzi..he is saying "glub glub glub..NO COMMENT!' LOL. nice capture. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this bird diving its head in the water is great. the image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Your photo has good depth, is perfect focused and exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The distorted reflection is interesting. The bird is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
