This is a superb musician/violinist portrait artwork created by your gifted artistic prowess. I can personally identify with your art here because I played the violin long ago when I was in elementary school and in junior high school- I played violin in the schools' orchestras. I switched to playing the clarinet in high school because string instruments were not provided. You brilliantly capture the musician's concentrated immersion in playing her violin with utmost musical expertise. The light coming from the window softly highlights her perfect position as she plays the violin.

I enjoy your attention to realistic detail. Proportions and perspective are correct. The shading is perfect. That the paper texture shows through the pastels ids interesting. She reminds me of my granddaughter who plays the violin.
I like her long dark hair and her side profile pose.
She is well rendered with accurate shape and structure. Well shown light and shadows, I like that her eyes are closed.

Professional pastel work with bits of pastel paper woven without or showing, it seems, or a color showing through. Great composition and pastel work. Realistic! Almost like it is on canvas, that type of texture in areas. Really like it.
