Love this work, a portrait of a rhinoceros in pastels. He is so realistic. I love the details and the background. Was it done in soft pastels, pan, or other? My first work when not traveling was in oil pastels. I've bought several tools to get back to oil and hopefully soft pastels after watercolor or at the same time. You are so gifted!

This is an amazing piece of art work (from a distance I thought it was a photo). Incredibly detailed; which I imagine would have taken quite some time. Wonderful light and shading...I could imagine this could be a winner. All the best in the contest!

How the skin reflects the light is intriguing. Your pastel is excellent composed and rendered. The animal is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
