Again, a very special shot at the perfect moment of landing. Your angle is excellent as it cannot be planned as it is a movement and the head is perfect to see the focus in his eyes. Beautiful natural background color letting the bird stand out in perfection - well done

Magnificent capture! Did you have your camera on high speed? The timing here is spot on perfect! The image invites the anticipation of the spread of those huge wings!

I enjoyed looking at this on my if screen. The blue is a perfect unblemished backdrop that lifts the image. An action shot fine with focus that details the wing feathers and their softness and captures the grace of the landing eagle. I like that you got his feet with claws outstretched to meet the land and another fine detail is his head and eye. Colours are natural. The eagle well placed in the frame.

Nice work Pat. It reminds me of landing a plane as you flare the wings (using flaps) to brake the speed. This is what's happening here. Good detail in the wing showing the damaged feather on the 'flap'. Good work Pat ~ Steve

landing gear ready, wheels down and lower!! same technique. The designers learnt from bird flight. I remember when I was in the Women's Junior Air Corps in my aerodynamics lesson, back in the sixties, learning about how a sharp nose, like a birds beak, causes swiftness. Interesting shot caught in landing mode. I was going to ask you if you often see these interesting creatures, but I already know the answer to that question--bald eagles are more abundant in Alaska than anywhere else in the United States. The Alaska population is estimated at 30,000 birds.

What a beautiful subject to have framed with finite detailing so rich, your subject stilled and nicely presented diagonally through the frame. What a beauty!

Beautiful photography as usual. Love the blueness of the sky. That also makes the darker browns of the eagle stand out so well. His head shows some along with the white feathers. I love the whiteness on the heads of Bald-headed Eagles.
