This is a very nice photograph. Puts me in the mood of spring and new beginnings. Mom is a beautiful mare, very sculpted and healthy, and the foal definitely has the wide eyed wonderment of new life. The greenery of the background
gives that spring feeling. The photo itself appears very grainy and somewhat of a haze feeling. I'm not sure if you need to adjust your settings, or if it was over enlarged? Also the hay feeder in the background, near the foal, really takes a lot away from the focal point and off sets the centering of the horses. Sometimes, excitement gets the best of us and we shoot too soon. Try taking a breath and look at your shot as a photo before you actually take the shot. What do you see? What's working in the image? What's not?

Love the baby horse. Is it called a "foal" or "colt" or other. It is so cute, just precious. The wonderful detail of the Mama and the grasses are so vibrant. Perhaps the rack or whatever that is takes away just a little as it looks like it could harm an animal accidentally.

Thank you, I actually like the rack in the picture :) It is perfectly safe! A foal is a horse of either sex under one year of age...thank you for your review!

Welcome. You know about horses than I do. We had farm horses at one time and I've ridden a couple of others. No doubt, beautiful mother & baby horse.
