--and its roots are in the water! Cumberland is just beautiful as you reflect here. I used to drive through it weekly, as I lived in Scotland but came down every weekend to give lessons. I liked the arrangement, but my son decided to come back to Sheffield, so I moved with him, as I had somewhere to stay and he didn't which got him here. Sometimes I regret helping him as I preferred Scotland, but at my age, you like to be near your children or at least one of your children, which is why one has children!

This is a truly lovely scene Nikman, and you have pictured it so well. The landscape on its own is beautiful, but it is the lonely tree doing this photo more than anything. It is standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp all over, and it is truly clear and well defined details in every part of the tree. The exposure is perfect.
I like the portrait format, but personally I would probably have cropped a bit off at the bottom. But with the tree off to the left, it is a fine balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

It is impressive how the gnarled tree grows at the water edge. Apparently the tree was much battered by storms through its life. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The contradiction of the mighty mountains in the background and the shoreline is interesting. The tall format emphasizes the lonely tree remarkably. The tree is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Well that tree looks like it was just dumped there, lol,, not sure if its a good place as it does not look to healthy, love the dramatic mountains behind, especially the colour blue, good eye on your behalf to catch this

Really like this photography, especially the sky, the colors upon the mountain; the middle ground of water is nice; and the lone tree and foreground are okay in beauty but it stresses your focus well.

This is a great shot!! It reminds me of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. The mountains in the background are beautiful. The tall frame with the green foreground makes a great composition layered with the water in the middle. Well done, very eye appealing

the purples on this mountain are so majestic, but the water is serene and calming as well. I love the tree and the sharpness of the photo and the misty appearance of the mountain! Great job:)
