These cone flowers are some of my favorites. You have captured fine details of the petals and center quite well with this well focused image.
It would be even better with grass as the background though

Thank you for the review. Appreciate the input and your opinion! I feel grass can be distracting sometimes, and like the simplicity of the slatboards for this one. 🙂

I love the huge center, so visible with the down hanging leaves - excellent close up, fantastic details in total sharpness, perfect natural contrast and a beautiful initial impression

A beautiful flower in some great light that gives you excellent colors and crisp details. I must admit that at first I was not too fond of the clapboards in the background, but the more I look at it the more I like them. Good luck in the contest.

This is one beautiful flower and the way it stands so tall and straight with only one or two large leaves madds to the beauty. I'm not sure if the background adds to or takes away from, but you did a wonderfly job. And, only one. Good you captured it while you can.
