A very nice shot. The look of adventure is enhanced by the presence of the guns. It makes one aware that there are more threats than just slipping on the ice. A fine shot in all regards.

Fred,
A beautiful & interesting picture of the Tourist's landing from a small boat on the shores of Greenland from your Cruise Ship, the view framed by the snow capped mountains rising up from the coast. Polar Bars are NOT to be messed with. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

It must have been a wonderful experience to go to Greenland, Fred. This is a great shot of this red boat and passengers coming off. The snowy mountains in the back ground are a lovely backdrop. Yes interesting having a gun, but obviously necessary for those white bears! Great composition.

a few years ago, a stupid tourist was killed by a white bear: he claimed that he is not frightened and went alone, taking some pics;

I am not surprised by the gun, we don't have polar bears where we spend time they are way up north, we do however have grizzly bears that are also not teddy bears, this is an awesome scene as the passengers are getting off the boat, I like the red color of the boat,
This is well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct for all colors. The people bring life to this otherwise remote looking scene. Well composed and presented!
