Only one!, usually they have two, I would have cropped the top a bit, but its a lovely photo, and would make such a lovely card for someone who loves this type of nature scene

She probably had two, and was in the process of moving this one to a safe spot for the day. I did think about cropping some off the top, but she was on the trail,and the trees on both sides created a canopy over their heads. Thanks very much for the nice review!

This is such a beautiful photo Lee Ann, and you just have to be touched seeing something like this. I especially like how the branches at the top are working as a nice and natural framing, and also lovely the light is falling on the background bushes and the animals. Both of them are also standing out from the bright background in an excellent way.
The photo is very sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the fawn and its mother. The exposure is just perfect.
The format and framing is working well, and the two animals are well placed in the photo. I also like the frame you have added. This is indeed a sweet and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Cute title. So where is thumper? Lol. The clarity is great..the angle of the shot of this doe and fawn is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.
