Very nice find and capture Mary.
It's like the pig frogs...
They can be heard but rarely seen. Thankfully we have found them 3 times. I think you did a nice job on focus and exposure.

What beautiful photograph of this singing bird and you captured the moment just right.
Did he get attention of the female? It got yours.
Great colors that camouflage the bird nicely with the grasses. I like some of the green ones on the right.
Wonderful presentation and thank you for sharing.

    Thanks again, yes the female was flying in and out of the reeds toward him once she arrived they both disappeared into the thick section.

    So it worked, nice.

not at all colorful like many male birds and unfortunately we cannot hear him singing;
however you captured an excellent stop action with his beak wide open; excellent sharp details;

This little bird seems to sing for company. Perhaps the bird feels lonely and is longing for a sweetheart.
Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The Warbler has a good placement within the frame, just left of center. The photo is well composed. The composition is balanced.

    Thanks Cleo, yes the female was making her way to him through the reeds we could see her pop in and out of the thick foliage but not stopping long enough to get photo of her - he disappeared into reeds as soon as she got nearby.

    You're most welcome! :o)
    I guess everyone disappears when his/her sweetheart shows up. :o)

What a sweet little bird! Nice timing to capture it with its beak opened!
The bird is well placed within the frame, well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural.
Well defined detail in feathers, face and beak, I can see its tongue!
Well composed and presented!

A very nicely timed shot. I like the reeds; they make a great background. The bird is shown in great detail and I especially like his tongue and eye.

Such an enchanting click- this Reed warbler is singing aloud with a clear intent to reach out to his beloved. It's just so cute the way his beak is wide open while singing. The composition is excellent and the nature habitat in the background adds to the character of the photographic capture. Kudos

Here's an aspect of the Planet's Great Life Force in action once again and your photograph illustrates it wonderfully,Mary!
While the creature is one that I've never beheld I recognize it's song, on a deep instinctual level,immediately!
'Good Show',my friend!
