What a great image BFF. This really reminds me of my time in Afghanistan. We had a similar picture that we always passed by as we went out on mission. It seemed to remind us of what and why we were there.
I hate the way it turned out. I really don't want to talk about it.
Anyway BFF thanks for posting this one.

This eagle for sure looks majestic, and you have pictured it so well. Especially the eye is well captured, and the bird is also posing for you in such a lovely way. The dark background makes it stand out in an excellent way.
The photo is very sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure and white balance is spot on.
The tight cropping has worked well, and the eagle has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken portrait Eileen, and with an excellent DOF.
