Wow! Great shot! Patience certainly paid off on this case! Great composition with the bird well centered with his catch. Leaving a great view of the water reflecting light in the background. Thanks for the review. As far as the motion of the fish is concerned, I think that is a matter of taste. I think on this one I prefer the feel it gives for how the fish is moving. A long time ago I posted a Roseate Spoonbill picture with wings out and some motion evident in the wings. One of the reviewers said the picture was out of focus while the bird?s face was actually in perfect focus. That image won an award in an international contest. I can always learn from input on all sides and continually improve.

What perfect timing to capture this one! The anhinga has caught its fish! Like the way the fish tail slaps up on the side of the bill but we can still see that clear eye of the anhinga!
The bird is well placed within the frame, well focused, this image is clear, lighting is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural.
Well composed and presented!
