Sometimes close-ups show the worse side of nature. I think showing a field of these in a golden swath would have been more appealing for me.

I did not wish to draw a field, only what I had to go by. It is not a photograph but a pastel drawing, truly in depth.

Thank you, kind artist Zilyram. I must get back to pastels soon. I did this one years back, my first flower in pastel. I have gone back to painting, drawing again about 3 years back, beginning with oil pastel portrait and acrylic practices, work. Is that darling child in your profile interested in art, drawing yet, or too young? She's a beautiful little girl.

The little one is our youngest granddaughter Max who is 2 years old so not yet an artist - her mother (our daughter) has had a couple of exhibitions and sold some work but with work and a 2 year old doesn't get much spare time for art. We have 6 grandkids (4 boys and 2 girls)
