This is a nicely composed photo that is a great entry to the contest. I like the slightly hazy look and feel to the background and the broken reflections on the water. I feel it might be a bit overexposed in the foreground but catching the color of the tree is nice. Best of luck in the contest!

This picture makes me want to go there. The colors are beautiful . I love that pop of yellow in the foreground, and the lovely reflection in the water. I don't know where on the Parkway this is, but I would love to see it. You can see it must be early fall, as there is still a lot of green. Great photo! Good luck in the contest!

This picture makes me want to go there. The colors are beautiful . I love that pop of yellow in the foreground, and the lovely reflection in the water. I don't know where on the Parkway this is, but I would love to see it. You can see it must be early fall, as there is still a lot of green. Great photo! Good luck in the contest!

Looks like a lovely place to visit in the autumn time with the beautiful coloured leafy trees and lake. Reflections on the water are lovely. The colours look a bit overly saturated however thank you for sharing a place that would be delightful to visit.

I can see that this is an amazing location, you are fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful scene.
It is a perfect angle of shot placing the mill house off to the right , I love the reflections on the pond .
This is well focused, the image is clear, the colors appear harsh , I see you adjusted the colors, I'm wondering how it looked before the adjustment, there is a blue hue over the mill house, it is supposed to be a weathered grey. The golden yellow trees appear very harsh , same as the grass under them .This is a well known landmark , I would look at images of this mill online and you will see the correct colors .

Nice view of this place,but do think autumn here would fall short in compared to a snowy scene,but that aside it does give a nice feel of autumn,think i would have used a bit more of the bush on the left,only to give the building a more concealed image...Brian

A soothing impact from a classic scene. The composition is well presented with the mill and its reflection - excellent. The color palette is in harmony with the season - go easy with the color adjustments. The mill as the center of interest is well framed. I see a good DOF from front to back.
I think if you had moved the shadow slider more to the right , the details of the wheel might be more visible.
This entry should do well in the contest .... Bob P.

I understand very well your attraction to that place as you describe it, as I would feel the same thing, your picture is very well taken, from a wonderful distance and perfect angle showing all buildings as one - your angle and frame choice created a very harmonious content with the waters, and the fantastic color choices of the different trees, making this shot outstanding - your angle adapted even the son betweeen the colors and that is an additional positive section - excellent in sharpness and natural contrast
