Your capture is extraordinary. How the light reflects on the body of the insect is impressive. How the insect claws the plant is interesting. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed. I am impressed by the realism of color and the sharpness of detail. Even the hairs at the body and the spikes at the legs are pin sharp. The dark background emphasizes the insect profoundly. The Robber Fly is excellent placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Best wishes in the big bug contest. It sure looks big and your photography of it on the bright green plant that looks more like a green wall. It actually looks huge; amazing that you captured it so upclose. The bug looks like a small beast.
