THis is a well executed shot , I like the placement of the 12 spotted skimmer within the frame and it's position on the stem. You have brought out the detail in the wings and body of the skimmer.
This is of course, well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct for all colors and tones.
This is well composed allowing such a good sense of the surroundings without distracting the eye from the skimmer.

This is a intriguing close-up. The reflection at the wings and the tail are especial interesting. Your photo has good depth, is well focused and exposed, and adequately treated with mixed media. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The dark background emphasizes the insect nicely. The mixed media is well composed. The Dragonfly is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Bob i did one cartoon years ago titled "dragonfly pole dancing". you can search that one on the FAR title search. you can check it out and chuckle over that one and dont have to review it. its an old one. wink. cool capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this dragonfly is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Nice close up you got here. Beautiful details, sharp, good exposure. I would have cropped it a bit more , so my eyes would fall on the subject easier. Good luck in the contest!
