Yes, I can follow the unfolding drama. Glad there was no blood lost. Wonderful work in frames. The fox is lovely even thous he is in it seemingly for the kill. The Heron is lovely, beautiful white and black head, grey feathers and the water in thre of the scenes is really nice. My favorite probably are the second and fourth as the bird does what he or but she intends and seems to be to safety where the 2nd, the fox is peeping through with hope but fails to achieve.

This is excellent one page essay. Better to take the soft shot rather than miss the shot fiddling with the dials. The whole point of journalistic photography is to tell the story, and this montage does just that. Admitted soft focus aside the camera technique is admirable under the circumstances of this encounter. Your mixed media skills are well demonstrated with this fine piece.

A natural occurrence in nature well documented through fine photography ... Bob P B-))

Yes- you captured the live action so nicely. Good that the heron could save himself from the marauding attack of the red foxes. Rules of nature are simple- fend for your self. I love the frames which show the drama unfold. Kudos

    Sushma,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Drama unfolding on the Dodder bank. The Heron is quite capable of doing damage to the Foxes with it's long dagger like beak, it can stab or blind a Fox with it. The Foxes were fighting among themselves.

A good looking nature collage posted here! Yes, looks like you got some dramatic looking nature shots yesterday. They certainly reveal that nature is not always kind to all its inmates. Nicely done!

I saw a fox in my yard last week. He did not hang around and seemed quite skittish. Not like your foxes on the Dodder. A very nice looking collage that captures the action nicely.

    Mike,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the Drama on the Dodder between in Grey Heron & the Foxes. there were four foxes running about. I only managed to capture two at a time. They go to that spot on the bank because they are used to be given treats & or medication when needed. The Red Foxes on my road or in my garden run on first sight.

No problem following this drama Susan, and you have indeed pictured an unusual scene. Or at least something you don't see very often with your own eyes. I especially like that you have made a collage of the incident.

The focus is not really that soft, and your stop action is pretty good. All the photos are also well exposed.

The brown frame you have used is working well, and the collage is tastefully put together. Really well done Susan !

Hi Susan!
Someone wanted to eat someone else, didn't they?
Ah Well!
That's a part ( a Big Part! ) of the Planet's Great Life Force in action too and your fine looking presentation illustrates the drama of this instance nicely!

Yes, I can follow the drama. They animals are competing for the same food. Probably, they wont fight with each other, because the know of the abilities of the competitor. Your photos are well focused and exposed and have good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The collage is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
