yes, she began her voyages May 27 1936 and left Southampton for the last time on 31 October 1967 sailing to the port of Long Beach, California, United States, where she remains permanently moored. The ship serves as a tourist attraction featuring restaurants, a museum and a hotel. Did you go to the museum? And now they are talking of scrapping the Present Queen Mary. Just as I wanted to travel on her. I booked a ticket two years ago after selling my home and a week later got an email, telling me that all is cancelled due to Covid. All is still cancelled.

Beautiful composition in this shot! The colours are light and bright, very cheerful. The framing of the branch is well chosen. If I squint it almost makes the ship look like a toy. The bridge balances everything on the right out nicely, as does the blue sky and clouds. A great shot, thanks for sharing, a pleasure to view

Beautiful composition in this shot! The colours are light and bright, very cheerful. The framing of the branch is well chosen. If I squint it almost makes the ship look like a toy. Good eye, it works. Excellent framing amidst lush colors. Great DOF emphasizes the immense size of this vessel. Camera settings have stopped any motion of the greenery and great depth of focus. Lighting seems from an overcast sky yields wonderful contrast across the entire scene.

A beautiful shot. I like the way the green leaves frame the ship but am not too fond of the metal railings and gates in the lower left corner. Excellent details and great colors.

Beautiful photograph of this cruise ship that is ready to depart and take people for an adventure.
The sheltering palm tree is framing the big ship nicely. Good angle to take this photograph and get most of the giant under the leaves.

I am grateful for your nice review! Must point of that this ship has not sailed since back in the 60?s when you Americans bought it to be a tourist attraction and on board hotel.

I don't know about the sheltering aspect, but the trees and leaves make a wonderful curtain into which one can sneek a peek at the Queen Mary, and a neat photograph. The little patch of blue sky adds some cheeriness to an overcast day, but the colors of the ship and greenery are enought to make this photo so very attractive. Composition on this is wonderful. Just lovely.
