I think she is gorgeous and if it's a he, he is very handsome. It was his lucky day and your's too to fine such a beautiful flying insect. Is it a locust or grasshopper may be but I think they have longer legs. You captured the markings and head details fantastically well. Great focus, it's balanced and well presented.

A Cicada, wow, ugly bugs and so loud in the summer months, it would be a toy for a cat or a dog I bet lol,,, love the colours on this one, I personally have only seen one in my life on my windshield of my truck, it was hard to photograph lol,,this is a beautiful photo,
