Super cute scene you have created with a total of ten alley cats, behind Bob. It appears to be a night time scene in the alley, I like the moon in the dark blue sky, the fence that one black cat sits up on while the their climbs up , the four colorful cats sitting together each with an interesting expression , then there's Bob with his green eyes sitting right in front , there a black cat walking behind him and two more at the garbage can. .
Well created scene indeed, good attention to the details, well chosen and applied colors, we'll arranged and presented! This is fun to view! Best wishes to you in this contest !

Oh my goodness Bob is adorable I just love the way you depicted his cat he's so sweet looking. I love his green eyes. The background is so wonderful. I'm hoping to be able to get a cat when I move from my tiny apartment I find them to be such amazing animals and so intelligent and so independent. Good luck in the contacts my friend

Thank you, your review and remarks are very much welcome... I have always had cats until a couple of years ago when I developed an allergy. But they are fascinating.

This is a very interesting piece. I like the composition you chose, telling more than one story in this piece. You created nice depth with the prospectives you chose, they create nice depth. The colours are well chosen and each cat clearly has character. The poem/story in the artist statement are well written. I would have given you a five except the layering of pastels in the foreground is laid down with some haste and it is distracting to the rest of the image. It shows that you didn't take the same care with it that you did with the rest and it takes away from the initial impression. Other than that it is a really great piece. All the best in the contest

Thank you. I do appreciate your comments. To do this one I appliquéd Bob onto the art paper after doing him. I think in my application his coat got smudged and I lost detail. I also left a fine white area around him to hopefully make him stand apart. Since your comments I have gone back and corrected the smudged area and defined his fur more but as its a comp I will leave the original posted.
