Excellent presentation and this would have been a great presentation for the blue contest - a super frame choice, excellent position and angle - super close up and special sharpness
The general impression is excellent as this moment from this position lets us see the entire bird in all details - I love birds as everybody is different like the human beatings lol

What a gorgeous bluebird! It's a treat to see as we don't have these here! I love that clear eye!
Spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear , exposure is correct, colors and tones are stunning and realistic appearing.
Love the diagonal placement of the bird on the simple perch.
Good depth achieved here background allows a clear, undistracted view!
The only think that would improve this one is if there was just a bit more room at the top, that's only my opinion.

The results are more than worth all the effort! Last time I tried to photograph one of these birds in low lighting, my old Canon D60 could not find him against a dull, wet background. I just gave up after a couple dozen failed attempts. Great Job!

There was one year when I was invaded by a dozen or two of these birds. A fellow shooter friend happened to see the activity and asked he could bring his gear and get a few shots. I said OK and the next day he and four other friends show up with long lens and tripods. It all went well, everyone got some nice takes and had a lot of laughs.

I am afraid that the blue in this shot is a little over saturated. My grandson liked the color so we put it to a vote. My grandson and the cat out voted me. I still have doubts about the cats legitimacy to vote.

Sean ... You never can tell with these birds - first year we were here E Blues by the dozen showed up one early spring day. Since then this guy and one other female are all I've seen in 2 years.
