You did very well with getting the detail perfect. The colors behind the bird make the bird pop out perfectly. I'm not sure what kind of bird that is but it sure is beautiful.

It does look a lot like the pigeons I remember seeing on the neighbor's roof across from my bedroom as a child, but never saw any half the normal size. An avian mystery indeed! Whatever it is, I love the purple and green colors, I think they set your mystery bird off quite well, and also compliments the iridescent coloration on the neck feathers. A lovely piece of digital art!

Great stance bird has....the background and bird are too similar in color...maybe make the background lighter than bird seeing how it is the main focus.

I will think about your input.
I painted the background with the current colors intentionally in order to clarify that this is not a photo but a painting. I do not want my painting to look like a photo. I also tried the to emphasize the difference to known bird species. :o)

Great job on this very pretty bird. It could be a species of dove. We have rock doves here that this reminds me of. They do look like pigeons, but are smaller. I like the background which brings out the bird. Good job!

The bird is indeed similar, but has only half the size of Rock Doves.
