This is a very good entry for my contest and the starkness adds a good effect,my only thought i can see is it looks as if you have reflective things pn the lens m[maybe water ] not sure about that but it does slightly distract from the overall effect,otherwise i would have given this a six...Brian

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of your heron and its dusk location. Like the ripples in the water. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!
