What an interesting history to the flora of areas probable origin and it certainly is a stunning flower. Your exposure is perfect and the focus is sharp. Like the way you have included bud and side angled flower. Great dark background to complement the plant. Thanks for the information Bob. :)

Hi Bob!
I dunno' anything about Botany,my friend, so I wouldn't know a Mallow from a prehistoric Cycad but your notes regarding the history of that abandoned estate are Fascinating!
And your photograph of this unidentified wildflower looks Great!

You might be right. It probably is a member of the Mallow family. There ar4e so many different species. The flower is beautiful. The colors are beautiful. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and the refinement of detail. The white balance is correct. The dark background emphasizes the flower profoundly. The close-up is excellent composed and framed. The flower is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

I think this is a Cranesbill, a type of Geranium. I actually have these flowers in my garden, but in pink. This white one is truly pretty, and you have pictured it so well. The light is falling on it in such a lovely way, and it is standing out from the softened background in an excellent way.

Your focus is spot on and sharp and it is truly clear and well defined details to be seen both in the petals and the stamens. The white balance and exposure is perfect.

The format is the best, and the cluster of flowers are well placed in the photo. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition.

I think this is a truly lovely and well taken flower photo Bob, and with an excellent DOF.
