Drawing is a talent some are born with...and you was born with it my friend...takes time and patients to draw things like this well done....although in my opinion, should use darker pencils or maybe shade a little more.

Yes, I could have added much detail in darker values, etc, but just wanted to draw a simple eagle drawing emphasizing the eye, one of its strength. I drew it in 2019 I believe. So I even thought about doing it in pastel now or do the partial face stressing the beautiful eye of a woman and Eye Beauty Vs. Eye Strength as it is the contest, "the eyes have it". I drew and painted two eyes as it said eye(s) in the first contest but they were so realistic, kinda scary and the person who drew just one pretty eye won. When and if I am able to upload physically (Have health problems), please view how I shaded the Masters' works I did. I regret you deducted .5 point as I only wished to do a simple drawing. Thanks for the review.

Beautiful depiction of this eagle my friend you did a fantastic job. I love the details and I love the dark background because it makes the eagle stand out so much more. Excellent work my friend and good luck in the contest. Thank you so much for sharing

This bird looks strong and ferocious. Its eye is especial impressive. It seems to me that this eagle will catch every pray in its view. Your drawing is excellent. The strong contradiction of black and white is striking. The sparse lines, outlining the head emphasize indeed the eye remarkably. The tight framing is sufficient. The composition is balanced.

I think you did a good job in creating the eye, it appears pretty accurate in size and shape . The eagle expression is always so stern , as if this bird is angry. They are intimidating to see through the viewer on my camera when they look directly at me!

Thank you so much, artist friend. I love the eagles and all of your outstanding photography. Your insightful and constructive comments really mean so much to me. I thought about doing this eagle in pastels, the eye in color and a woman's eye while contrasting the two with "Eye Beauty vs. Eye Strength"; then, just decided for now to do the more simple drawing. Thanks again for your encouragement.

A great explanation and a really special piece of art and your color choice is outstanding as the eagles normally have more colors but this one is so special as it radiates purity and freedom but looking certainly at humans to finish with such a thinking eye
