Excellent capture, Susan, showing this lovely Blackbird perching in the Mulberry Tree as the rain and sleet fell. Doesn't seem to be bothered by that! I like all the patterns made by the branches and twigs of the tree, spattered with raindrops. Very good lighting and focus showing a lovely clear image. Great composition. Suzanne

This is beautiful, Susan, beautiful scene with the limbs/branches so plain and the twiggs, lovely blackbird with its bright yellow beak and bluish-black head. The raindrops that look like sleet drops and trickles of snow, the white and crystal of them showing up so plainly throughout and upon the blackness of the bird in their contrast, really help make the setting more lovely.

Love the droplets of rain on the ends of the twigs and on the bird. The bird central framing works well and the color is very natural. Good focus on the eye. Nice one Susan.

Susan ... Outstanding shot, focusing doesn't get any better when you can count the raindrops of his crown! Exquisite detail from spot on camera settings to framing. About framing - magnificent, all the branches that matter are well positioned and extra sharp. Lighting highlights the water drops on the branches so that they appear as water diamonds.

The details of the bird couldn't be better. Sharp focus of the eye and other head features. Feather detail is well seen from top to bottom.

This is really good ... Bob

The Blackbird seems comfortable within the tree, even in the rain. I see even raindrops on its plumage. How the light reflects within the drops is interesting. The gleaming drops emphasize the bird profoundly. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color band light and the refinement of detail. The photo is expertly composed. The bird is well placed within the frame.

This is a really beautiful shot!! The composition is full and pleasing. At first I thought it was snowflakes on his feathers. The way it seems to bead off. The drops on the branches are beautiful. Great focus. Thanks for sharing

    Regina,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Gentleman Blackbird with his yellow beak. His lady is brown with a dark beak so she's not so visible when she sits on her eggs.
