It is really nice in black and white. Would like to see it in color however. Don't know which would show the gloominess less--probably what you presented. Kinda glum colors although it is a nice.

Good choice i bkack and white... the depth of the crane is accentuated by the area of water with that attractive swirl of nature's thaw.. the pattern is intriguing and the angle chosen as your pointer gives us a fine perspective and overal view.

A strong landscape you got today! It has really (deep ?) curves leading lines that leads the viewer eyes right to the black forest . And even if the mountains are in the background as a third layer they add interestingness to the photo.
