I only ever once, many moons ago, travelled through Hawaii on our way to New Zealand, from which my ex went back home /they don't have proper pubs and then returned and left again/ so have not seen its see, but did see a beautiful pink sky as it the dailylight came.

Wonderful initial impression! Perfect timing to capture the wave in the upward splash against the lava rocks!
I like the cloud up above the splash and the way it appears to send the light onto the splash below.
Well photographed with good focus, this image is sharp and clear, exposure is good, colors and tones appear natural. Well defined detail and texture in the lava rock.

This capture is outstanding. How the wave literally explodes against the raggedy Lava is striking. The stop-in-action is perfect. Your photo has good depth and is excellent focused and exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The seascape is expertly composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

What a terrific entry in the outdoor photo contest! I can almost hear the crashing wave and this would have been a good entry in that contest as well!
