Even Driftwood Admires the Sunset

This sunset and its reflection are fascinating. The driftwood emphasizes the golden shine perfectly. Your photo has impressive depth and is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The seascape is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

My do we have a giant's leg bone? lol... I must admit I wonder what kind of tree this shapely piece of driftwood once belonged to.. A great seascape with interesting, seemingly minute sun... thanks for sharing!

This is a gorgeous sunset with gorgeous scenery: the nice rock and driftwood so plain. Nice title. The colors in the sky and in the water, along with its reflection and ripples in the lovely silently moving water.

I still have not seen any of your sunset shots I have not liked, and this one is no exception. The golden sky is so beautiful, and the colors from it is so nicely reflected in the sea. I especially like the drift wood as a foreground, because it adds so much depth to the photo.

The photo is very sharp with clear and well defined details. The colors look nice and natural, and the exposure is perfect.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo, and with the placement of the setting sun off to the right, it is a very good balance in the composition. A truly beautiful and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF.

I still have not received a review from you that is not better that my photo. How is it that you seem to see those things that I do not see, at least consciously?

I know I have said it previously that I learn to 'see' things better due to your reviews. Thank you again Annie ~ Steve

I don't know about admiring the photographer. The photographer is very lucky to be shown some remarkable scenes that present themselves. Thank for the review and compliment Fred ~ Steve

Looking out over the massive sea during the setting sun is a wonderful time, especially when God has blessed us with such wonderful colors. It's a very beautiful scene with great depth and perspective. I like the large driftwood in the foreground creating a large shape with nice negative and positive forms. Very nice color. Very nice photograph. Thanks for sharing.

A beautiful image that is artfully composed. The light in the sky is fantastic and the way the colors reflect on the surface of the water makes the driftwood stand out well.

This really is a beautiful shot of an all-time favourite subject matter. The colours are awesome and the fading light adds mystery. Finely composed and timed this makes interesting viewing!

A fine example of the setting sun over the ocean presented here. However I feel it would have benefited from a little bit longer wait to give a stronger light beam on the water and looking at your other shot of this it would have been nicer if you had not cropped it so much. Nevertheless it is a nice capture, I'm guessing from your phone. Well done
